Newborn photoshoot with the twins Rubi and Rose

A few days back, I received a call for a newborn photo shoot. I receive such calls regularly but what made this one special was it involved not a single child but a twins. I started planning the session and decided to talk to the father to learn more about them.

Since most parents are apprehensive about newborn photoshoots, I always make it a point to let them know the precautions I take while shooting with babies. This time also I did the same and assured him that the precious ones would be completely safe in my studio. I enquired a little bit about the twins to plan the shoot. Rubi and Rose weighed around 750-800 gm. They had been in the NICU for over 3.5 months. Thankfully, they are doing fine now.

Newborn, Maternity & Family Photography in Glasgow

Hello and welcome, I'm Dilyana. I live and work in Glasgow, and I've been photographing families, babies, and mums-to-be for a good part of my life. This isn't just a job for me. It's something I genuinely care about.

I studied photography at Glasgow Kelvin College, and over the past 15 years, I've had the honour of photographing hundreds of families. Some of my work has even received awards, but what matters most to me is helping parents hold on to those fleeting moments, whether it's a baby's first days or the joy of an expanding family.

My sessions are relaxed and very much led by you and your little one. There is no rushing, no awkward posing, just time set aside to capture the small, honest moments that make your family unique.

The studio is cosy and calm, and I do my best to make everyone feel at home.
