# Christmas photoshoot of the Kane family

What does Christmas mean to you? Going on vacation? Partying with friends? Or spending time with family? For us, it is welcoming families for Christmas photoshoots and developing a life-long bond that makes our Christmas special. This happened with shooting the family album with Sophia. Let's introduce her and her lovely family.
Michael and Mhairi are blessed with a little angel Sophia. She has made their family complete, and the proud parents wanted to immortalize her growing up with a family photo album. So they contacted Glasgow Family Photography for a photo session.
Naturally, we were happy to get such an assignment and started planning immediately. Michael and Mhairi wanted the album to be simple, without any flashy decoration. We decided to highlight their bond by using Christmas as a backdrop. But that comes later on. First, let's meet the Kane family.

**Shooting** **with** **Sophia** – **our** **new** **friend**
Here is the first photo of the Christmas photoshoot Glasgow. The Kane family came together casually for the opening snap. Mhairi sat on a chair with little Sophia on her lap. Michael stood behind with their [Cavalier King Charles Spaniel](https://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/cavalier-king-charles-spaniel/) in his arms. All of them were casually dressed, that went well with the backdrop and theme. Together, they made a loving photo of a family. However, what struck us was the look on Sophia's face. Was she sceptical about our photographic skills? It seemed she was suspicious about our intentions!
We cannot lose the chance to make a new friend. Hence, we decided to make the photo shoot enjoyable for her.
A complete change of scene! We took Sophia to the specially decorated room with a huge wreath, lots of colourful gift boxes, and loads of cotton for a snowy feel. Mhairi changed into a white full-sleeved tee and lavender slacks. Sophia wore a white dress with a broad white band on her hand. Both mom-daughter duo rocked in their outfits. Sophia took keen interest in the proceedings around her. She started warming up to us, and this was evident from her expression.

The third photo from the album was the perfect one to welcome Christmas. With this one we got completely into Christmas mood. Now Michael also joined in. We moved to another corner which we had decorated with Christmas trees, pine cones, red bricks, and a wooden bench.
This photo has lots of rich colors, layered for a intriguing look. The parents looked happy with little Sophia in her mom's arms.
Can Christmas decoration look complete without red? For the fourth or last snap of the album, we went overboard with red to create a vibrant appearance. We created a kitchen in our Glasgow studio with a wooden cabinet that held big kettles, mugs, and decorative snowflakes. We added small decorated Christmas trees to the cabinet for that cheery Christmas feel. The Kane family continued in their previous outfit. The only change was the touch of content on Sophia's face. The dog looked cute with the red cap on it's head. We placed various items in red and white on the table. The table had objects like candies, a weighing machine, a box of flour, and a rolling pin. We painstakingly chose the objects to make the kitchen look real. Michael and Mhairi looked casual and happy. A perfect family photo that brings a smile on the onlookers' face. You can feel the warmth through the shot, the Christmas spirit touching your heart.
The Christmas photoshoot Glasgow ended on a friendly note. Sophia acknowledged us as her friends and even played with us. Throughout the photoshoot, she cooperated with us like an angel. We hope she likes her photos and cherish them when she grows up.
