"Dashing through the snow
In a one-horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go…"
Christmas is here - the season of love, sharing, and caring. Most of us wait eagerly for Christmas as it is the occasion when we meet our friends and relatives. It is also the party time, folks. We love to gorge on roast chicken, turkey, cookies, cakes, and pudding. For us, it is also the time when families approach us for a Christmas photoshoot. So, when Sarah gave us a call, we were more than elated.
We were happy to get a call from Sarah, an old client of ours. Our association dates back to three years when we started creating albums for her. This time, she wanted a photo album with her entire family. She told us about her husband, Hector, and kids Lydia and Ramona and how they wanted a family photo album to celebrate Christmas.
Since it's a Christmas photoshoot, we asked Sarah to choose bright-coloured clothes for the family. We had decided earlier to go candid and capture the real emotions of the family.
Sarah arrived with her husband and kids, and our studio got filled with their laughter. Lydia is the elder sister who is very sweet and caring towards her younger sibling Ramona.
We showed Sarah our setup, and she was satisfied with the props we had selected. She gave a few ideas which we incorporated into the photo session.
The first photo of the album is a classic Christmas photo with the entire family gathered before the Christmas tree. There are gifts and wreaths and Christmas decorations. Dressed in red, the children look so happy. The festive season gets cheerer with their warm smiles. Sarah and Hector make a loving couple who shower their kids with love and affection.
Here comes the second photo. Ramona got friendly with us and, so we decided to take her photo against our most favourite backdrop, a snowy and wintry background complete with wreaths, lights, and lots of happiness.
Ramona looked happy with the fluffy pillows and soft toys around her. We used plenty of lights and greenery to create a cheerful shot. But can anything come in comparison with her toothless smile?
Sibling love - only someone with a sibling, knows what a blessing it is to have a sister or a brother to grow up with. Lydia liked our setting and wanted to join Ramona. As the two started playing on the bed, we took a spontaneous click.
While Ramona was pleasantly surprised, Lydia was all smiles. This is the photo that the children will lovingly look back when they grow up and want to rekindle their sisterly bond.
Christmas doesn't feel complete without snow. Children also love this season as they can play with snowballs. So, here we have Lydia playing with snowballs in our studio. We have used red caps to make the shot more colourful.
The last photo depicts a traditional Christmas scene that we have all witnessed in our homes. With the fireplace and Christmas tree in the background, the kid opens her gift boxes. There is a wonder in her eyes while her parents look at her with love and amusement. We have painstakingly created the scene with decorative socks, bells, and snowflakes. The red brick wall and the red curtains add warmth to the photo.
The Christmas photoshoot got completed satisfactorily. We were so happy to meet Sarah again, along with her adorable kids. We made new friends for Christmas. May God bless Sarah and her family and fill their lives with joy and laughter. We hope you will also have a happy and cheerful Christmas.
