Preserving Family Memories Through Timeless Photography: The Reid Family

Their journey with us is the very example of how photography celebrates growth, develops lasting memories, and captures love across generations. Let me take you on a walk-through of the beautifully shot Reid family photoshoot, each one showcasing their love, togetherness, and joy in the most wonderful way. 

The Reid Family: A Snapshot of Family Love

Meet the Reid family: father James; mother Sarah, a loving woman; and two daughters, Sophie and Jessica; son Ben; and the ever-smiling grandparents, Margo and Gordon. And our sessions began with this family when family bonds were necessary and more important than ever – during the COVID pandemic.

First Session

The world was battling the COVID pandemic during my first session with the Reid family in July 2021. Back then, it was a family of four-James, Sarah, and their two lovely daughters, Sophie and Jessica. Even during these difficult times, they were smiling faces, with the love and warmth emanating in each frame.

That was really a simple but powerful session. The family posed for some portrait photography shots in our aesthetic studio amid the playful props, but mostly, it was so candidly amazing. In many instances, Sophie and Jessica were laughing hard as they playfully interacted with each other. This photo session was not merely about snapping photographs but capturing their family love in one frame. 

Second Session

Fast forward to November 2023, when the Reid family returned for us again this Christmas photoshoot season. There's now a baby boy to the Reid family: little Ben! Now their family's been even more completed with his new birth, so the family posed very happily on our Xmas-themed session.

We managed to capture the magic moment of the first Christmas of the Reid family with their baby Ben. The sisters Sophie and Jessica couldn't have been more joyful, having their baby brother flaunted in front of everybody. They all sat proudly together in that photograph with huge smiling faces. We couldn't help but smile as we watched them interact – the love they had for this new baby brother can be seen all over their faces and the same was beautifully captured here at our Glasgow Family Photography studio. 

We also captured a stunning moment of the whole family being together, huddled close while posing around the festive Christmas tree. There's something about holiday photography that brings a sense of warmth and connection out in families. 

Third Session

The third session was particularly special. It was on September, and the Reid family wanted to give their parents, Margo and Gordon, a family photo session as a gift. What better way to surprise them than to bring three generations together for a meaningful photoshoot capturing family love?

This was a joyful session full of laughter, preserving family memories– the Reids and James and Sarah with their kids and Margo and Gordon with their grandchildren. It is always evident how much the grandparents love the grandkids. It warmed us to see such moments.

In this session, we took some gorgeous group shots,. Such family portraits are invaluable because they depict a different kind of love of family that goes beyond generations. It was such an honor to be part of such a meaningful session.
